At Hearth Glass, we offer a variety of class options to suit every glass enthusiast's needs. Our Make-Your-Own Glass classes allow individuals to channel their creativity and craft unique glass masterpieces under the guidance of our skilled instructors. For those seeking a more collaborative experience, our group or couples classes provide the perfect opportunity to learn and bond with friends, family, or coworkers. Additionally, our private lessons (call to book) offer a more in-depth and personalized attention for individuals looking to further enhance their glassblowing skills.

Rentals
Hot Shop Rentals
RENTAL STATIONS:
6” SMALL - $33.50/hr with 2hr minimum
12” MEDIUM - $38.00/hr with 2hr minimum
22” LARGE - $50/hr with 2 hr minimum*
($1200 for 40 hrs for bulk rental purchase)
Included in rental: 10 lbs glass per hour (anything more is $2/lb), glory hole, pipes, torches, blocks, hand tools, knock off station, color oven, garage, 1 annealing cycle
Cold Shop Rentals
$15/hr, minimum half hr rental. Includes all cold shop equipment and consumables.
$80/day with full day rental (8hrs)
$10/hr bulk rate for 20 hrs
Kiln - $25/24 hr cycle
studio Rules
Rental time should be scheduled, and paid for, at least 24 hours prior to arrival. Please call the studio for exceptions. Please give 24 hours notice for rescheduling or canceling reservations. In the event of an emergency, please contact us.
Renters must be first authorized and trained to use our studios. You may contact hearthglassnc@gmail.com to get this established.
NO ALCOHOL is permitted on premise during rentals. Renters will not be allowed to operate any equipment if they are under the influence. Exceptions for alcohol will include studio sponsored events such as gallery openings and large demonstrations.
Hearth requires the buddy system during all after-hours studio rentals or you may opt for the lone operator model.
If there is a class or demonstration taking place in the studio, please be aware of sharing the studio.
Your work must be picked up within 10 days of your rented time: If you cannot pick it up within that time we can ship it to you for an additional shipping and handling fee. If you need a special exception, please talk to the Studio Manager.
You must clean up after yourself. Check the clean-up list to make sure you completed all tasks, this includes all common spaces.
When rental results in a large amount of product you must communicate with staff regarding annealer space and may be asked to rent an additional/separate kiln as needed.
No guests are permitted to accompany a renter in the facility beyond their chosen assistant. If a rental requires more than one assistant, or if for some reason you need an additional person approved, please contact staff first.
Renters can be banned from the studio rental following breach of any studio rule.
